OPEN POSITION: Grant Manager

Praxia Partners  is looking for an experienced grant manager to join our Community Building Partners Team. As part of our stewardship activities, CBP provides grant management and administrative services for partners and government agencies. The grant management services design and coordinate grantmaking processes and practices that meet the foundational mission of supporting equitable development in our neighborhoods

We seek to hire a Grants Manager to lead the management and implementation of Grants for our partners. The grants in this Teammate’s portfolio consists of six subgrantee community projects ranging from construction to workforce development and mental health services that will be implemented by partners over the next few years throughout Southeast Ohio. 

 In this position you will manage and assist grantees with implementing new and existing state and federal grants. This position will also be instrumental in organizing and leading grant meetings and disseminating program information to various stakeholders. We are seeking someone who has experience with grants management and compliance, who is an analytical thinker, a problem solver, a skilled communicator and impeccably organized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees all aspects of grant implementation (e.g., establishes cost controls, develops tracking system, monitors budgets, priorities and time schedules)
  • Troubleshoots delays or cost overruns as they occur
  • Manages internal and external deadlines related to the grants
  • Supports grantees in achieving grant objectives
  • Review and approve all grant-related payment requests, bills, invoices and statements
  • Manages program files and records.
  • Oversees and works with the grantees to ensure adherence to State and Federal rules and regulations governing grant expenditures
  • Serve as liaison between grantees, grantor and in some cases with community
  • Prepare, assemble and track federal, state and local data as required by grantor and review quarterly, final, annual and biannual grantee reports.
  • Drafting compelling progress reports and targeted program updates (e.g., blog posts, press releases, Facebook, and twitter posts) to funders that fully capture programmatic success

 Professional Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or 3-7 years of work experience with nonprofit administration, grant management, or project management); 
  • Attention to Detail, Customer Focus, Organizing and Planning, Problem Solving, Written Communication
  • Proven results with organizing data, tracking grant logistics and managing stakeholder’s expectations.
  • Demonstrates grant administration savvy and is detail driven.
  • Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience;
  • Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner; 
  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Google Suites. Experience with Monday.com a plus;
  • Familiarity and experience working with federal and state grants; 
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality;
  • Interest in, connection to and familiarity with Appalachian Ohio and Southeast Ohio communities a plus and 
  • An interest and commitment to the mission, vision and values of Praxia Partners including inclusive and equitable development is required.

 Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience, anticipated salary range $70,000-$90,000. Full benefits and paid time off.
