Mobile Market Comes to Our Neighborhoods

It’s Mobile Market Day!  Several of our properties serve as hubs for the  Mid- Ohio Foodbank Mobile Market program. The Mid-Ohio Foodbank is determined to end hunger one nourishing meal at a time while co-creating communities where everyone thrives! And we are honored to share in on that work to support their mission.

The Mobile Market Program brings fresh foods and groceries to low-income individuals in high need areas. The Mobile Market goes to housing sites like ours providing access to food for hungry people. The service is intended for individuals and households at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.

Once a month the Mobile Market sets up shop at Corban Commons and Stratford East communities to provide access to fresh produce and other perishable staples like eggs, milk and bread for income eligible seniors 60 and up in the 43219 zip code. Residents and neighbors are invited to shop, (at no cost, of course), bringing their own bags and means of carrying the food home.

Perhaps you’ve heard us speak of service-enriched housing through Accord Communities. Mobile Market Day is just an example of some of the ways we open our doors to nonprofit partners, and make services that support our residents accessible to our community.
