Worthington Northwest Library

The Northwest Library is a cooperative project of the Worthington Libraries and the Columbus Metropolitan Library and is managed by the Worthington Libraries. The Northwest Library primarily serves the area between the Olentangy and Scioto rivers, extending from the Delaware County line south to Henderson Road.

The Worthington Library Impact Solar project will generate renewable energy that offsets the libraries carbon footprint and stabilizes energy costs. The array consists of a rooftop system, a bench and charging station and one of the first Smarflower systems in the State of Ohio.

SMARTFLOWER

The Smartflower is a set of solar panels designed to look like a large, mechanical flower. Its petals unfurl in the morning so they can follow the sun across the sky, then close at night.
