REFERRAL PROGRAM
We are reactivating a vacant lot on your street with the Welcome Home program, and this is your chance to finally live next door to someone you love! From your best friend to your mother or favorite coworker, if you have a loved one in the market for a new home, you can earn $500 with the Build Your Neighborhood program by referring them to your own block!
HOW IT WORKS
WHO
If you live on a participating block, you may be eligible to earn a referral bonus! These include the surrounding addresses for a select number of new homes being built. Homes are first-come, first-served, so don’t wait to tell your friends about the new home coming to your block, and encourage them to reach out as soon as possible!

The following addresses are included in the February 2026 Program (Ends March 31, 2026)

DOES MY FRIEND QUALIFY?
Don’t worry, we’ll help them figure it out. Share the program details with them so they can learn more about the available homes and eligibility requirements. Buyers do need to be preapproved by a bank or mortgage lender, but also must meet program requirements to be eligible for these amazing purchase prices. Requirements include:
- Earns at or below 80% of the Area Median Income in Sandusky
- Is eligible for a mortgage through a bank or mortgage lender
- Is willing to participate in financial literacy training
- Is willing to agree to program requirements
WHEN
Your friend must contact us during the referral window and let us know which neighbor referred them and your address. If your friend purchases a Welcome Home home, you will receive the referral bonus within 2 weeks of your friend’s closing date.
